Yes. The President still owns slaves. They're called Secret Service agents.

We don't call them "slaves" today …

But the conditions of servitude still exist, particularly in bodyguard and law enforcement roles. U.S. Secret Service agents and others in similar roles can't just turn in their quitting papers and walk anytime they choose.

Trump administration’s interpretation of slavery under George Washington can be reinstalled

The White House has always had servants and employees in various roles, some more committed and others employed more at will.

One may argue about U.S. military and intelligence agency duties, D.C. police duties etc. whether such employment qualifies as "slavery" to this day. Not all slaves are or were black. Some were white of course. Many black people were employed at will or even owned businesses and employed white men even before the Civil War.

Corporate wage slavery and careerism are the more prevalent forms of slavery today. We have our Constitution and cherish our freedoms — but the man being driven out of the Garden of Eden is not made free from hard work or the sweat of his brow in this life — regardless of how “slavery” as such is legislated or constitutionally amended out of existence.

Perhaps it's the contemptuousness or attitudes associated with employees’ “lip service” or “eyeservice as menpleasers” — or the “gangster” style or dress of wearing heavy gold chains on their necks which was outlawed after the Civil War.
