‘Sovereign citizens’ and ‘freemen on the land’

And other movements of individualism and self-sufficency ...

What is a sovereign citizen?

Are you a citizen of a sovereign country?

The Fourth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America is perhaps what best defines what it means to be a “sovereign” citizen, and delineates where this “sovereignty” shall not be violated.

Constitution of the United States: Fourth Amendment

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Citizens are people of course, but the term is from ancient times, perhaps typical of ancient Israel, when cities were heavily fortified and defended and there was some identification or secret signal or legitimation to enter the gates, the “keys to the city” or “keys to the kingdom” if you will, as city mayors had the power and authority of kings in ancient times. Citizens are thus “city dwellers” just as inhabitants of places with names like “Denmark” or “Denver” might be called denizens.

Some civilization with the fortification and weaponry to defend it is implied by the term “city” in this regard, where every man’s home is his castle. The Second and Third Amendments only strengthen the concept of sovereign citizenship, once there is a home to be established. Sorry, this is my home, I own guns, I keep and bear arms to defend my own home, and I will not give up my home to quarter professional mercenary soldiers.

What is a freeman on the land?

Are you a rural landowner?

The term “citizen” and the language of “citizenship” are not favored by all gentile countries, particularly those of the British Commonwealth; freemen on the land are essentially equivalent to sovereign citizens. We think it’s good to move and live outside of city limits to avoid the trials, temptations and vices of city living in favor of a just, moral, and family-oriented pursuit of Happiness, and not to chain “citizenship” to “cities” or city lifestyle as such. The Bible has it all, hunting rights which entail guns, Jesus on the cross, simple country life outside city limits, love and kindness to all, simple teaching, obedience to all due authority. This is not a rebellion or insurrection whatsoever but a just and necessary movement of "we the people" to mind our own business, set limits on violent, aggressive gun-grabbing cops and rein in intrusive government.

For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
[Hebrews 13:11-19]

Don’t make the cops so angry that they murder you, because then they must give account.

Beware of people who never drink coffee and never smoke tobacco, and are always clean and sober, whose goal is to urbanize and communalize the whole country and usher in a heavy vice district. Avoiding mind-altering drugs and excessive alcohol, and not getting arrested, it’s quite enough not to brag about being so pure and clean and holy all the time.

How to approach sovereign citizens and a freeman-on-the-land
May 12, 2023

There are local government lawyers with heavily armed SWAT teams and illiterate smash-and-grab cops who deride Uniform Commercial CodeBlack’s Law DictionaryMagna Carta and the Bill of Rights as “inapplicable law and authorities.” It is on the contrary precisely these small town, city and county local governments that we have to hold in rebellion and insurrection to the presumably legitimate and applicable authorities we have just cited; these authorities are what they are, and they do not presume any inapplicable powers beyond or outside the scope of their jurisdiction. Ignorance of the law is no excuse for gun-grabbing cops to violate and infringe the rights of the people. “The powers that be are ordained of God” according to the Scripture [Romans 13:1], and we willingly submit to them as to the just and fair authorities to which we have consented, and in that same vein we must continue to fight the good fight of faith, to war and battle against the powers that are not ordained of God, namely “against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” [Ephesians 6:12]. The American Revolution was not at all in opposition to the Magna Carta or to the Bill of Rights 1689; on the contrary, American revolutionaries opposed King George III, among many other matters:

¶ For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, [namely Canada ???] establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies: ¶ For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments: ¶ For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

(Quote “Uniform Commercial Code,” may be U.S.-specific legislation, but these people of the British Commonwealth are simply referring to it as an example of common commercial agreements trying to be reasonable with some sort of uniform code of fair dealing to enable the most basic commerce or business upon which all civilization with a functioning economy depends in any legal context. People just don’t like being ripped off.)
