Is Mt. Spurr erupting or settling down?
What is the offical position?

Will it? Won’t it? And when? Anchorage contends with a restive volcano in its backyard — BY: NATHANIEL HERZ, NORTHERN JOURNAL - MARCH 27, 2025 7:33 PM
An eruption does not appear imminent, and may not happen at all.
A lay conclusion which I would agree with, and as far as I know the actual geologists on the official staff are not directly disputing or contradicting in their offical reports.

These are the persons currently best placed to answer questions about their qualifications and official predictions of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes what little is known about them to the best of the science. General disaster preparedness at all times is to be recommeded of course but that is not their particular area of expertise.

If there is greater academic interest in monitoring the activity of volcanoes and tectonic faults near urban populations, or donating or placing more measuring equipment, or assisting with the collection and dissemination of data, or offering courses at local universities, I am sure people can coordinate that.
