“Single by choice” = out-and-proud lesbian with a heavy emphasis on abortion
If it really takes that much effort for older unattractive women to say no to all unwanted male attention —
I'm not completely ruling out a committed romantic partnership, but I'm not actively pursuing one these days. Without a partner, I've been forced to figure things out myself, to claim my independence, and there's power in that. ¶When things become difficult, I acknowledge that I need help from others. It's been lovely to realize how many people in my life are willing to offer support if I ask. And those people are more than welcome in my house — temporarily.
It's a date-and-dump woman, or a serial romance scammer. Some dude moves in for sex and gets kicked out with a restraining order. Rinse, repeat. Plenty of romantic partnerships but none of them committed. With a hint of mental health consumerism.
Friendships with other women only, and no contact or communication with men at all except for flirting and dating and charging money for sex.
Meanwhile, the Democrat party dudes from their point of view are obviously getting exactly what they want from these ladies with no strings attached. As long as they don't own guns, of course. Get a couple of preachers serving as “laboring men” in a heavy Democrat district, too.
These women would have marriages of convenience and arranged marriages with men, but they aren't quite making it in court with all the romance scams and police station claptrap.

“Don’t worry. Women like you don’t get left on the shelf.” ¶I couldn’t quite believe my eyes when these words, sent to me by a friend, flashed up on my phone screen. For a few seconds, I read and re-read the text, before bursting into incredulous laughter. ¶Sure, I’ve had my fair share of judgy comments from older relatives. It just hadn’t occurred to me that someone my own age would consider me a dusty relic sitting on a shelf, waiting to be rescued from neglect and loneliness.
No. They're not just “single” ladies. They're out-and-proud lesbians, over the minimal use they have or care to acknowledge for the men in their lives. And that's the cackling laughter of a wicked witch brewing a poisonous potion in a cauldron over an open fire.
