Man "necklaced" by MRI machine
The story is somewhat dubious
npr: Police are investigating a man's death after he was pulled into MRI machine
The chain caused the man to be "drawn into the machine which resulted in a medical episode" and he died from his injuries the next day, police also said.
Unless this is some extremely contrived medieval torture arrangement.
Man dies after being pulled into MRI machine while wearing metal chain: Police
The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon at a medical building in Westbury, New York, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

MRI machines use a strong magnetic field in producing detailed images. Patients are advised to remove jewelry and other metal objects prior to getting the scan.
Shrapnel or other metal objects are sometimes embedded inside the body, and no particular warning.
It sounds like a loud cry, "Give us all your jewelry and gold coins if you need any medical care!" And the lack of technical details makes it appear like a vicious prank more than anything.
The diagnostic and therapeutic benefits of independently owned and operated MRI or CAT scan equipment outside of an official hospital setting are also cast into doubt.
