And as soon as the kids are gone, the X- and XXX-rated content appears, and the sites take payment information and start charging money for sex
This is the same thing as what happened to Myspace, AOL, and even Yahoo many years ago, although AOL and Yahoo have enjoyed a comeback after finding ways to moderate and police content without offending too many users.
A certain cohort of users on the major social media, dating, and job interview platforms have come of age and found it convenient to kick their younger sisters and brothers off the platforms as they pursue hook-ups, pick-ups, buying and selling, gambling and other adult activities.


It's becoming seamy and unfashionable for children and young teens to have accounts on social media platforms shared by their elders, where they see posts by police departments and other official government agencies. Other platforms are showing up for younger children, and numerous child pornography arrests and indictments are made on a regular basis.
