Drunken party cops downtown Anchorage
Rampant alcoholism and possibly marijuana and other drug abuse among law enforcement officers
There is a drunken crowd of heavily unionized angry working cops on the beat, as usual, hard at work grabbing guns from law-abiding citizens and serving to perpetuate a culture of entrenched criminality and political corruption in the infamous "Municipality."
Anchorage Police Chief Sean Case said in the 25 years he’s policed downtown, there’s been a pattern of “problem” bars opening and closing, and criminal activity gravitating back to the Gaslight.
The absolute chutzpah of these police chiefs and commissioners is just unbelievable. "The Gaslight" bar/lounge at 721 W 4th Ave. is in fact located directly across 4th Avenue from the front door of the Anchorage Police Department headquarters building at 716 W 4th Ave.
Meanwhile the police station headquarters parking lot is full of dented and dinged police cars most of the time, with some of them painted pink and purple party colors instead of the traditional blue.
The back door of the police station headquarters is directly across a narrow alley from the back door of another bar, the Glacier Brewhouse at 737 W 5th Ave.
If these aren't police bars catering mostly to police officers coming off duty, this is simply too much alcohol being served by cops or by female bartenders inordinately affectionate with male cops who constantly desire to jail their jealous or unwanted boyfriends.
Aggressive parking patrols, vehicle impoundments, and outrageous fines are ramping up downtown Anchorage, effecting annulling all private ownership of motor vehicles in the area.

Interesting how all the articles make reference to a local bar, and perhaps some of the involved parties had been drinking or consuming alcohol at that bar, but the news media conspicuously omit mentioning that the location of the shooting is in fact just outside the front doors of the Anchorage Police Department headquarters, which would presumably have been closed for 9-5 M-F "business" at the time notwithstanding cops on patrol coming on and off duty at any and all hours.
