This is where we say “undercover” simply means “in bed.” Certain guidelines apparently permit casual sex only but no “love” and no “relationships” for cops.

Plenty of male cops have long hair and/or earrings, which both seem all but required for female cops. Civilians, not military cops, who cares? Maybe there's an image that police chiefs do not want to portray. All work and no play makes Jack a very dull boy — but we're not stupid enough to believe the cops aren't playing. Possibly more undercover cops than otherwise, but not necessarily gay or effeminate either. Hang out with some biker dudes. New Jersey is really strange place with stricter dress codes at the horse races than at local churches. All the same, some cops are gay and they are little bit too flamboyant or aggressive on duty, probably guilty of some sexual assaults on same sex suspects. Otherwise, why would a boss “groom” a working cop on the beat?
