Why salvation cannot be "earned"

These people are plenty wealthy, enough money to fight over, for sure. I wouldn't think they had any particular financial difficulties to strain their relationship, but they're not exactly the hardworking sort of folks who "earn" their money. They're entertainers who sing and play sports games for popular amusement. It all depends on how many fans they attract and how much money the said fans are willing to pay to be entertained.

The sole judgment of their monetary worth is whatever the crowds are willing to pay to see and hear them. Otherwise, they'd be down and out and have to work for a living like everybody else.

Plenty of prostitutes and ne'er-do-well boyfriends do sponge off of their partners in relationships. But even so, a stay-at-home daddy without a formal hourly job can keep himself busy with automotive and home repairs, or general construction or gardening, farming or logging or agricultural activities, even prospecting or mining, nothing at all unmanly. Male freelancing, however, does not satisfy city women of the "professional" sort who always demand a formal garnishable income, supportive of a 30-year home mortgage, from a man with a boss over his head and push him out of the home for work as absolute ironclad preconditions of marriage.

If a hardworking financially independent male going to turn down a woman he loves simply because she's too wealthy, it's his loss, but if there's an excess of drugs or alcohol or prenuptial agreements or S.O.P. in court, or if the wealth is ill-gotten, or if the woman is beholden to another man for her money, then all bets are off. A poor man can just as easily be made to appear wealthy in court before bribed and corrupt judges and have his income garnished by dishonest lawyers for alimony as if he were rich.

There's a woman's-only divorce attorney present at the preacher's or pastor's office together with a strong religious presumption of female submissiveness — as if "You can rape me, but only with my permission, and don't expect any other love or affection from me."
