Trump's actions in favor of gun rights
Who knows what will come of it or how we can overcome the Blitzkrieg against gun owners?
There is of course an extreme presumption on the part of the courts and the law enforcement community that guns are simply illegal for everyday civilians to possess or carry.
Much of the problem lies with arbitrary "rulemaking" by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms as well as the Department of Justice itself making it "illegal" for law-abiding Americans to keep and bear arms.
In many cases, not even the most explicit legislation to protect gun rights can override the legal presumptions of cops and courts that guns are "illegal" and that Americans are prohibited from possessing or carrying them, in spite of the law and the Constitution.
This is because of the absolute prerogative and unchecked policing powers of the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to redefine legal terms at will, and arbitrarily classify law-abiding citizens as persons "prohibited" from receiving or possessing firearms on any of a number of arbitrary and ill-defined categories.

This is a good start. "Permission" to carry a gun anywhere is Permission to carry it everywhere, effectively. Supposedly, under this new legislation. But it still is not clear why such Permission is needed beyond that which is already inherent and laid down as the supreme law of the land in the Second Amendment of the Constitution itself, to wit, a "right of the people" or universal human right that "shall not be infringed." And that really is the most absolute language that there is or can be in law, which will brook no exceptions or extenuating circumstances. If the Constitution is not respected directly in and of itself as the Supreme law of the land, then neither can any other legislation, supposedly made in pursuance of it, be respected as law.

The anti-gunners are not really "anti-gun" for themselves of course. Those of them in the law enforcement community already have their guns and have secured their rights to possess and carry them privately outside the course of their employment and in retirement; meanwhile they are hypocrites with extremely strong opinions about which of us should or should not be allowed or permitted to possess or carry guns. They regularly ransack our homes and vehicles and strip-search us at airports and other public places not only for guns but for knives, gold coins, jewelry, cash, financial instruments, medications and any other items of contraband that they do not want us to be permitted to possess as private citizens.
Our guns are the crowning glory of Lady Liberty, and without them our patriotism can only be replaced by shame and eternal defeat.
