A church in England was struck by a terrible apparition of ball lightning during a mighty thunderstorm that occurred on Sunday during the church service. Four churchgoers were killed and many suffered severe burns.

Or is that wiki article an unjust Catholic condemnation of a Protestant church, and not entirely truthful at that? Neither the church nor any of the churchgoers really ought to be judged by rumors told at local bar or tavern. That is a rather ill repute to this day hundreds of years later.
