The Harfenspieler
The ones in heaven and the ones who are not in heaven
The Harfenspieler are also mentioned in the 14th chapter of Revelation.
They're in heaven, and that's where they play their harps according to the Bible, but this is a certain musical composition, a song of a man with a burdened conscience on earth.
The piece is almost if not quite altogether a confession of murder.
The Biblical view of men as being "virgins" (as among the 144,000 in the Bible to use that language) is "verboten" to say that they've never served in military combat or never killed in anger.
So is that a guilty man on earth whose heartstrings are being played by an innocent victim in heaven? It is almost unspeakable.
