Strange tastes in music

Arguments about something else to change the subject

The ‘stomp clap hey’ hate is back
The Obama-era pop folk music has always been a controversial millennial moment, but its recent resurgence online has people dubbing it the “worst genre ever.”
It’s the kind of quirky music tailor-made for Coachella and Bonnaroo, group sing-alongs, hand claps, and, yes, literally stomping and shouting “Hey!” that reigned supreme in the millennial-hipster zeitgeist. ... “The fight over what’s ‘stomp clap hey’ is a great example of Twitter music discourse because it wasn’t coined by a musician or music journalist: it was a tweet that wasn’t even about a band or specific subgenre but a type of guy,” one person wrote on X.

None of the above is controversial. If you don't like the music, you can listen to something else, or play the instruments yourself if you feel you can do it better. Or just enjoy your peace and quiet.

So the fight is over something else, obviously. The Democrats are being routed, as it is, primarily, Democrat music. They want to enjoy their culture, the want to enforce their political groupthink, they don't want to come across people who don't share their Democrat abortion and gun control mores, and they're always in court with obnoxious service of process.
