So what are the sleepy fentanyl-addicted townsfolk so touchy about near Denali National Park in Alaska?
Enough state troopers and magistrate judges to keep every small town courthouse in business full time. And don't forget the park itself is federal …

On 07/09/2026 at 2301 hours the Alaska State Troopers conducted a trespassing investigation near Mile 216 Parks Highway. Investigation determined the drive, Brenda Sanford, age 62 from Anchorage was driving a car while her driver's license is revoked until 2068 and she did not have insurance. Sanford was issued misdemeanor summons for DWLR and No Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance. A licensed driver responded and took possession of the vehicle.
I don't buy 42-year speeding tickets in court. You need a small town local judge for that, namely one “Raechyl Huisingh” as of 2023.
Nothing else wrong with Brenda Sanford's driving cited and no drug or alcohol use at the time? Oh, is it “trespassing?” No. Not that. Not even driving at the time. Just parking. At a legal scenic viewpoint. It's a parking offense.
“Investigation determined” presumably that her car was parked at the scenic viewpoint at Milepost 216 there and she was presumed to have been driving it while her license was allegedly suspended.
Namely, a cop pulling license, registration and insurance on a legally parked car. It would appear so.
