Serial daters and dumpers at work

Multiple marriages and divorces, too

Why hooking up at work feels tempting but usually ends in disaster

Let's not get too preachy on the job. It's just a little bit weird, nepotistic or incestuous, to have such close relationships or friendships or fraternization at work. Most people have their own social lives outside of work, and at work there is intense competition for pay raises and promotions etc. with ample opportunity for backstabbing and very little room for fake friendships.

When Did Americans Become So Mean?

Depression and anxiety are on the rise. There are record low levels of marriage and increased numbers of voluntary celibates. Families are donating to charity at markedly lower rates than 20 years ago.

The word "celibate" is Catholic churchyard language for a gay man or a choirboy. There are, presumably, straight men who don't father illegitimate children or associate with brothels, but men with intact organs do not call themselves "celibates" under any circumstances. Families are looking at the books of the charities and they don't want to pander or give money out willy-nilly unless they can be reasonably certain that their money is going to help the people it's really supposed to help.
