City and borough police departments in Alaska are nests of endemic corruption as well as state troopers, federal law enforcement, U.S. Marshals, park rangers and military police departments.

Complicity with corrupt Russian and Canadian police forces such as FSB and RCMP also plays a very prominent role in police corruption throughout Alaska.

It seems to be the unfortunate and unescapable reality even to this day that "the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants" as so sadly and cynically observed by Thomas Jefferson.
