You don't need gay rights. None of the world religious or law enforcement establishments accuse same sex roommates of living in sin. It's not something that can be churched or policed. So if gay people are just friends or if they want to be with each other, nobody is hurting their feelings or keeping them apart or violating their privacy.
If opposite-sex cohabitants or would-be cohabitants want rights, they can get married. Otherwise, they have STDs and there are already far too many government-run clinics offering abortions, sex shots, sex pills, and more abortions. Unless they want some other specialized adult-oriented medical services.
