Anti-2A Activists in Wisconsin Swear They’re Not Anti-2A
Anti-2A activists in Wisconsin claim to support gun rights while pushing for strict regulations.

If we've learned anything from Everytown's internal kerfuffle, it's that no matter how much anti-gunners claim they're not anti-gun, they're really anti-gun. Everytown decided to offer gun safety training, and some of its members are losing their ever-loving minds, even though they've all claimed they didn't want to eliminate the Second Amendment. ¶They just don't want anyone getting training while also wanting everyone to have training. ¶No, it doesn't make sense. ¶However, in Wisconsin, a group of gun control advocates took to the state capitol to push for gun control. They claim, though, that they're not anti-gun at all.
NRA gets an ‘F’ -- along with Rep. Mary Peltola
The National Rifle Association made a shocking endorsement. The group endorsed Rep. Mary Peltola, who is on the record — many times over — favoring gun control. Peltola wants gun control measures, such as universal background checks, waiting periods, and gun storage laws. ¶According to The Washington Post in 2022, “During her campaign, Peltola said she wants a national law protecting abortion rights and favors some gun-control measures, such as universal background checks.” (Azi Paybarah, “Who Is Mary Peltola, The First Alaska Native In Congress?”) ¶On a questionnaire for the Anchorage Daily News, Peltola supported universal background checks and waiting periods for gun purchases. ¶“We can take common sense action, and we must. Provisions like secure storage laws, reasonable waiting periods and universal background checks can make all of us safer while still preserving the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment.” (“Q&A with Alaska U.S. House candidates: Do you support gun control legislation?,” she told the ADN on Aug. 2, 2022.

When he was pulled over for an alleged traffic infraction, he didn't have insurance and the car was going to be towed. That's when law enforcement found the guns and arrested Culotta. ¶The Gun Owners Action League got involved after it was clear Culotta wasn't going to be allowed to be bonded out. They provided an attorney, which Cam wrote about nearly a month ago. ¶Now, he's finally been granted bail, but let's be real, this is a man who was living in his car. Does anyone think he's got a fat bank account to pay the bail with?
Black gun owners in Chicago charged with felonies despite valid FOID cards, CCLs; say they’re traumatized

... months in court fighting to get the felony charges dismissed and his impounded car returned. It wasn't until mid-June, three months after he was arrested, that the charges were dropped. ¶There's still a long road ahead for McWilliams. He's working to get the charges expunged from his record, so they don't show up in a background check. ¶It's nearly impossible to know how many drivers are wrongfully charged with unlawful gun possession, only to have the charges dismissed. ...
