Anatomy does not determine biological sex. Quite the contrary. It is biological sex that determines anatomy and physiology. Child molesters and others obstinately insist on getting certain details the wrong way around.
Biological sex is not something "assigned at birth" either — that would be in conflict with the Republican position that life begins at conception, not at birth. It is the conception that determines it, either a 46,XX or 46,XY karyotype in most "normal" humans, for those interested in the Watson-and-Crick or crime lab interpretation of it, rather than the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition take. The presence or absence of the Y chromosome — inherited from the father — is the determining factor of mammalian sex, and consequently of a mammal's reproductive anatomy and physiology.
