More foodie myths

And other obnoxious organized labor nonsense in the food service, hospitality and travel industry

No. We actually do enjoy authentic food in America. We just have to cook it ourselves because, well, you know, it just isn't practical to eat out every meal.

American orders Olive Garden-style chicken parm in Italy and the waiter’s response is perfect
He looks so confused.

Chefs are hired to make good food. Waiters and waitresses are hired for their people-pleasing personalities.

Some foods that we claim originated overseas were actually first made right here in the U.S. of A. For example, chimichangas, which can be found in many Mexican restaurants, actually originated in the state of Arizona. Crab Rangoon, a popular “Chinese” dish, was actually invented in San Francisco, and spaghetti and meatballs were never a thing in Italy.

And Italians never made pizza before they immigrated to the USA? No. I don't believe that either. Hungry industrialist workers and they didn't eat meatballs? No. These people are woke millennials on modern European fad diets.
