The guy's got to be a staunch communist with that red shirt he's wearing, and he'd rather live in a communist country than in America after serving in the U.S. Air Force.

So whatever he's doing in Vietnam, it's something "appropriate" for an American ex-pat to do while living "abroad" — or else, they wouldn't let him live there.

Freedom-loving Americans just aren't welcome a lot of places where our freedom isn't appreciated.
