Latinos discriminating against Latinos?
I wouldn't doubt it
It's a bit like that old court case, Gonzales v. Gonzales. Nobody can really say for sure what it was all about, but Gonzales sure enough has his property in Texas, whoever he is.

Could be some Latinos who are U.S. citizens are not really happy about other Latinos who are invading our country illegally.
Worldwide, Spanish is at least as popular a language as English. Or include Portuguese, if Portuguese speakers consider themselves Hispanic.
The Pilgrims and Puritans who settled New England were primarily English speakers, while the "Pennsylvania Dutch" and Amish etc. spoke German — so the term "White Anglo-Saxon Protestant" perhaps best describes the culture or ethnicity of our founding fathers in America. From the U.S. Constitution being written in English, it is self-evident that English is the official language in which it is originally written, and little more needs to be said on the subject.
Merely speaking the same or similar language does not necessarily mean that people are friends with each other or that they have a whole lot of "culture" or anything else in common not shared by others. Those whose ancestors have emigrated from Spain or Portugal or Morocco do not necessarily consider themselves "Hispanic" or desire to maintain a connection with old Spanish laws or outmoded European customs, whether or not they speak the Spanish language.
