Is the tree of knowledge in the Bible a poisonous tree?

The Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil
Some exegetical notes, observations, and tentative conclusions: 1. Among all the trees in the Garden of Eden, God identified two special trees: of life, and of the knowledge of good and evil. “And out of the ground the LORD God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” (Genesis 2:9) 2. God allowed Adam to eat from all the trees except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, warning…

Be careful what you read. “Reason” is often a codeword for atheism.

Why Did God Create the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil?
Greg and Amy consider how and why God tested man with the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden.

«La science» is a knowledge of experience while «la connaissance» is a knowledge of feeling or familiarity. European languages other than English almost always distinguish these two forms of knowledge.

La science is much more severe than la connaissance; science is a certain mortality, while connaissance is much more broadly morbidity, as to the knowledge of that particular tree. Connaissance is perhaps not quite correct in this context, as one must be still living to have any feelings or familiarity with anything, while la science is the command of God or letter of the law as recorded in the Holy Bible of the cold and impartial knowledge of death to be caused by a certain tree.

This is a somewhat false distinction that also exists in Finnish, «tieto» v. «tunteminen»: «tiedon puu» v. «tuntemisen puu». There are people who went to bed with knowledge of warm soft feelings and woke up with knowledge of cold hard facts, not realizing it is one and the same knowledge.

The terms «bien» and «mal» in French refer to feeling well and feeling ill, so this is a tree of the knowledge of feeling well and feeling ill in French. It is definitely a deadly poisonous tree.

Genesis is the first book of Moses, the law in the Bible. Lawyers in court refer to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil as the poisonous tree.

The tree has nothing to do with nakedness, because Adam and Eve were naked without eating or having eaten of it. It has only to do with their realization and shamefulness of their nakedness.

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

And that is naked death, not merely shame at being seen or caught naked.
