The NLIHC, along with other organizations, condemned the executive order as it promotes harmful policies for addressing homelessness, such as mandating work and service requirements.
"Mandated" or not, do you offer any paid employment opportunities at all for people here?
Stop dealing drugs on the homeless shelter property and put the druggies in jail where they belong.
And stop diddle-farting with all that "mental health" crap in court. I'm sorry but there's decent people who got run off the property at previous places of employment because they said no to the drugs their co-workers were dealing.
Or shut the place down. Free food and warm beds? Build it and they will come. Are you "homeless" and you need all the drinking buddies and prostitutes just hanging out and mooching when you're looking for work?
Business is booming, the economy is thriving and no job offers anywhere. Just certain targeted individuals thrown under the bus? And other people fat and happy with the system?
YWCA offers rapid rehousing and permanent housing, among other types of services. The shelter plus care program, specifically, is the organization’s largest program. It helps unhoused adults and families with disabilities by giving them permanent housing and long-term support services.
So. YWCA is involved. And no. Yes, they have their boyfriends. No, they are not the most "Christian" sort of women on the street.
