That a man many knew as the “fun uncle” had touched them sexually under their skirts and tops.

I don't like those naughty “nieces” being so aware of themselves around the boys at such a young age, gossiping about a “fun uncle” and then showing up at the police station 15 years later after presumably failing to find a husband.

There are cock-and-bull stories, sure, many of the accusations are false as to the particulars of them, but that's still too much unseemly partying for it all to be false. Plenty of other abusers, too. Not just one man who was “caught" and not by any means in any one particular church.

You really do have to “forgive and forget” in order to find peace and joy in your own heart and move on with your life regardless of what has happened or might have happened in the past. No preacher is lying to say that. Otherwise it's that anger that just keeps eating away at you and destroying your soul.

That's all a preacher can counsel you on, to point the way to Jesus Christ so you can find that inner peace and joy within your own heart and with your own personal relationship with God.

Something just keeps eating away at certain women, though, and they never find that peace and joy that comes with a good conscience.
