Gun industry exposed for violating gun owners’ privacy

It's an “industry” that has been working very happily behind the scenes for working cops on the beat against law-abiding civilians who possess and carry firearms privately or non-professionally

Donald Trump is perhaps the most pro-gun president we've ever had in America since the Founding Fathers, but only in a certain very carefully qualified sense because VIPs and heads of state as a class regardless of political affiliation are not and have generally never been in favor of common people keeping and bearing arms.

This is a piece by ProPublica written from a “liberal” or perhaps more accurately “libertarian” perspective.

Gun Lobbyists and Cambridge Analytica Weaponized Gun Owners’ Private Details for Political Gain
Documents and interviews reveal how the now-disgraced political firm targeted potential voters by combining its cache of confidential consumer data with information secretly collected from millions of gun buyers, sporting goods shoppers and others.
But the 61-year-old building contractor was incensed to learn from ProPublica that his name, age, New Hampshire address, phone number and registered voting status were in a database compiled by the gun industry’s chief lobbying group to help friendly politicians win elections.

Friendly politicians? No, not really. They're politicians, after all, and all of them lie, cheat and steal like the gun-grabbing politicians they are.

We're looking at friendly local cops perusing political databases for the purpose of doing covert raids in the night and SWAT team busts in broad daylight on politically active gun owners' homes to confiscate our weapons, cash and valuables.
