Europeans are prudish and uptight, not Americans

They have it the wrong way around

It's generally Americans who have walk on eggshells in Europe, not the other way around. It is true that the Puritans or Pilgrims who originally migrated to America from Great Britain were rather prudish, but honestly anybody would have felt that way looking at King George III's tight pants and stockings, taking after his father and grandfather's garish style.

Finns are a little prudish and clean-minded about their saunas sometimes but America has bars, nightclubs, spas, bathhouses, hot springs resorts, massage parlors and so on and so forth.

“I Felt Like A Prudish American, But It’s The Norm In Europe”: People Are Sharing Common Customs Abroad That They Want The US To Adopt
“It’s embarrassing that it exists abroad — yet is not provided for free to all students.”

People who drink alcohol at lunchtime and take half the afternoon off for coffee like the Swedes probably are losing their jobs in America but that's not prudish. Businesses have to stay in business in Europe too, and we don't know where those lazy shiftless workers are going when they're fired, because the bosses and the police officers downtown are too prudish to tell us. It's not as if European businessmen don't manage their labor.
