DOGE hits State Department after Elon Musk's defection
And absolutely no mention of "CIA" as such

It's a Blue Room situation at the White House.
The firings will affect 1,107 civil service and 246 foreign service officers, an internal notice seen by CNN said. It comes as the State Department implements a drastic reorganization ...
This is not something simple or polite to deal with. We have CIA "case officers" and "handlers" being axed in large numbers — no direct mention of such in the news, but any library or bookstore has shelves full of spy novels and history books — and we know what we know, regardless of whether we "need" to know it or are "supposed to" know it.
Just imagine being an actual CIA "agent" or "asset" out in the field. That is cash or 1099 work or black budget off the books. Now your cover is blown.
Our spies had to have had some cover, and now they're being outed as "double agents" — unless there is a smooth and honorable transition for them away from the statecraft and tradecraft into vanilla day jobs with a normal family life.
How real is a spy's cover? Can the cover become the reality of day-to-day living? Or is it always fake?
I ask because I see special forces style consumer kit at military surplus stores — hard plastic knives, tan-colored military-style shoes, and other stuff apparently designed to be disposable for one-off missions. That is a creeping Swiss-style consumerism with obsequious mental health services being offered in a court of law to butthurt and heartbroken US spies. (Watch any of the ex-CIA agents on YouTube.)
This is JFK's promise to splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds.

Why didn't he? He was assassinated of course, along with Dr. MLK Jr. at the time. Now Pam Bondi dug out the JFK files and it's all coming out.
