Churches endorsing political candidates
Or else it's all abortion on demand and MH gun control under the advice and consent of liberal preachers
It is a little bit unseemly or undesirable for a church to explicitly endorse political candidates.
But the main problem that churches have been facing here is aggressive tax audits with false accusations of political activism.
That is a creeping liberality and hypocrisy from the statist left invading churches and voting for unchristian things, which violates the separation of church and state inherent in the First Amendment.

If political candidates happen to attend church and if they enjoy popularity and support in the churches they attend, that should not be a cause for a church to lose its tax-exempt status.
There is no avoiding politics as such wherever and whenever large numbers of voting citizens are gathered, whether in church on Sunday or at ball games or at any other public venues. People have conversations about all imaginable topics, they agree or disagree, vocally in public or quietly to themselves.
Maybe it's rude to talk politics in church but it should not be a reason for the church to lose its tax exempt status.
