Who are these “brethren” in any case? True brothers wouldn’t burn a brother at the stake or permit such an atrocity to take place, would they? The record has has it that some of these Catholic “brethren” were most explicitly misogynistic fellows of the very worst sort, whereas John Huss, the man they burned at the stake, was not.
