McLaughlin started to plan her departure in December but stayed in the aftermath of the fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti by federal immigration agents in Minneapolis, according to a source familiar. Her plans to leave the administration were first reported by Politico. ¶Noem said in a Tuesday post on X that McLaughlin “served with exceptional dedication, tenacity, and professionalism.” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said on social media that McLaughlin “has been a strong and fearless voice on behalf of President Trump and the brave men and women of federal law enforcement.”
We are going to need much more regular armed forces and much less “law enforcement” as such if we're going to be that brave.
Go back to the military. There are men following orders and not enough leeway to break the law and get away with it anywhere. What the Constitution is, to uphold it with honor and dignity, you don't need hundreds or thousands of armed cops sneaking around all the time or lying in wait or making pests of themselves.
