Another worthless Gallup poll
Just look at alcohol industry sales figures and ignore the barroom polls
How much people confess to drinking has little or nothing to do with how much they actually drink.
There are "mocktails" for people who pretend to drink alcohol without actually getting drunk, while many heavy alcoholics drink in secret and are completely in denial of their addiction.

Nonetheless this is an indication that people are skeptical of how aggressively alcohol is pushed and promoted at grocery stores and restaurants as such establishments are progressively made less and less child-friendly.
People don't seem to have much if any difficulty obtaining alcohol if and when they choose to drink it. It's just that if you're not choosing to drink or purchase it at the time and place, you are going to be annoyed when vendors shove it in your face or hold you hostage and pour it down your throat.
