The motive for the shooting is still unknown but investigators have said the attack stemmed from a family dispute. Court records showed Dorgan was divorced from his wife of nearly 30 years in 2021 after having undergone gender-reassignment surgery the year before.
Origen, who had had some such surgery according to the early Christian literature, termed it an “intemperate act” to which he was not awake to consent at the time.
Dorgan, after having the surgery was apparently unable to continue normal relations with his wife, and it's not clear that the woman was even consenting to such relations. Dorgan may have been a victim of mind control or other extreme anti-male witchcraft as it were.
