And what was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah?

People ask. And nobody says a word.

“Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom. But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.”
— Genesis 13:12–13

That is a little bit more of a “leaning” or “inclination” there to be assumed “toward” a city of such notoriety and shame than that which is necessary simply to shed the rain from the roof. And note carefully the emphasis of certain words in italics in the original King James Version of the Bible. It was his tent. And the men of Sodom really were that way. The fact of the matter was that Lot had a wife and two daughters in his house that the men of Sodom would not permit him to live with. But Lot knew they were after his daughters, never mind the two men who were angels and presumably became his sons in law.

“Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.”
— Ezekiel 16:49–50

That was too many lazy females in that city flapping their jaws and gossiping all the time for an honest man to get a job or make a living anywhere. They might have been very attractive women if it had not been for their gay pride, fat acceptance and morbid obesity.

Those women married for money and property, and had no affection for men.
