DOJ says it won’t enforce provisions of 1934 firearms law that were gutted by court ruling

The Justice Department said it will no longer enforce certain provisions of a law regulating firearms often used by mobsters, after a federal judge declared large parts of it unconstitutional.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms released a new gun confiscation Richtlinie. Under the ATF's new gun control Richtlinie,

…ATF will not enforce the requirements for individuals to apply and receive ATF approval before making or transferring short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, suppressors (silencers), and certain other concealable firearms known in the law as “any other weapons.” ATF also will not enforce the NFA’s registration, tax-stamp or related requirements for those covered items. The $200 tax remains in place for machine guns and destructive devices. The NFA requirements apply in full to those weapons. ¶Under ATF’s guidance, ATF will not enforce the requirements for individuals to apply and receive ATF approval before making or transferring short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, suppressors (silencers), and certain other concealable firearms known in the law as “any other weapons.” ATF also will not enforce the NFA’s registration, tax-stamp or related requirements for those covered items. Because many state laws require individuals to register NFA firearms, ATF will continue to process NFA applications that are submitted. The guidance also does not affect the Gun Control Act’s requirement to obtain ATF approval before transporting short-barreled rifles and short-barreled shotguns in interstate commerce. Individuals may obtain that approval by filing a Form 20, whether or not the item is registered under the NFA. So under the new gun control Richtlinie, ATF continues to arm mobsters and grab guns from law-abiding citizens as before, with no change in working police procedures to confiscate all firearms from law-abiding citizens no matter what.

So what do unconstitutional state and local gun control laws have to do with the unconstitutional “national firearms act” anyways? So even if an unconstitutional national gun control law is thrown off the books in court the ATF will continue to enforce it no matter what under color of state or local gun control statutes or gun control ordinances.

The bottom line remains that guns are absolutely, totally, without a doubt banned for all US citizens except for the corrupt police officers themselves.
